Gulf Coast Burger Co is a must visit place for us on our trips to PCB. As the name suggests, Gulf Coast Burger Co. serves up fantastic customizable burgers. You can try one of their Gulf Coast themed burgers, which are all named after states along the Gulf Coast. The Alabama burger includes pimento cheese, slaw, fried green tomato, and Alabama white sauce. Goodness upon goodness, you get the idea.
The “build your own burger” options are really only limited by your imagination. You start by picking your protein (in addition to beef, you can choose from bison, turkey, chicken, veggie and fish). Then, you can decide how you’d like your protein prepared, and choose from a wide variety of toppings. Gluten free buns are also included as an option for the burgers.
As amazing as the burgers are, believe it or not, they may not be the best reason to go to Gulf Coast Burgers. That honor goes to the Cat 5 Shakes, which are out of this world. They truly are the things beach dessert dreams are made of. Don’t believe me? See for yourself.
Our kids tried the Celebration shake, which is a strawberry shake topped with a mini cupcake, a full-size lollipop, two smaller lollipops, whipped cream, and of course, cherries.
My parents and I split the Peanut Butter shake, which starts with a peanut butter shake and is topped with peanut butter chips, Reese’s Cups, whipped cream and Cracker Jacks (because at this point, why not?).
Both shakes were amazing - definitely a lot of food following a burger. We couldn’t finish our shakes, so Gulf Coast Burger allowed us to keep the mason jar and gave us a lid so we could transport the leftovers back to the condo and eat them the next day for breakfast.
Or at a respectable time following a balanced meal. Whatever.
Have you tried the Cat 5 Shakes at Gulf Coast Burgers? Which one was YOUR favorite?
