Welcome back to our Summer 2021 Restaurant Round-Up! If you've been following along this week and you read my ode to Finns Island Style Grub, you know that I have a soft spot in my heart for tacos. In fact, if I could only eat one kind of food for the rest of my life, it would be tacos. Between tortilla choices and perfectly paired fillings, tacos just might be the perfect food.
Tell me I'm wrong.
You can't because I'm not.
For years, I saw advertisements for Los Antojitos on Beach TV. I can't believe it took me so long to give them a try, but I'm happy I did. Los Antojitos is located across the bay in the quaint historic town of St. Andrews. During peak summer months, it can be helpful to go away from the tourist crowds, and St. Andrews offers that option.
When we visited, we tried some of their specialty cocktails. I enjoyed a prickly pear margarita, and my mom had the frozen house margarita. (Both were delicious!) My dad had Diet Coke and drove everyone home safely. Thanks, Dad!
We started with guacamole and queso. We had lobster tacos, Peruvian steak tacos, a quesadilla, and steak fajitas for our entrees. The menu offers a wide range of interesting choices, and portion sizes are generous.
In addition to the food, the atmosphere is also a compelling reason to go. Los Antojitos has a large deck built around a beautiful live oak tree. When the weather permits, you can dine outside and enjoy live music along with your food.
There is also a playground for little ones.
This combination sets the table for a relaxing evening - the perfect end to a vacation day.
Come back tomorrow. We're highlighting an institution on Panama City Beach, Thomas' Donut and Snack Shop.
